Imam Abdulrahman al-Mahdi center is a center concerned with linking the three dimensions of time together, calling for a life in which a person welcomes the most beautiful things in the past of his ancestors and exerts maximum effort in his present to immortalize his mark and leave his contribution to his successor.
Heritage is the fruits of the past from facts, incidents, sayings, poems, traditions, customs, industries and ways of life and is the basis of the present because the present cannot germinate in the air and for the same reason is the basis of the future .
A balanced person takes this into account, and this is how people behave in ancient nations.we are lucky that we are a nation with a rich heritage, well-established foundation.
Our mission:
Collecting, preserving and reproducing heritage to launch and document it for life, to communicate generations,serve researchers, preserve, develop and keep up.
In a time of civilizational stampede, cultural invasion, the call for material values and the revolution of communications through its means that have penetrated borders and particularities, it becomes necessary to provide young people and emerging generations with something that strengthens confidence and self-esteem in them, without rejecting the civilized newcomer or admiration to the point of melting identity and special features based on our firm roots and the contributions of our native nation to the human civilizational component.
Our goals:
- Compilation of heritage.
- Introducing it to achieve the slogan of communication of generations.
- Try to reproduce some heritage.
- Documenting social lifestyles, events, the conduct of historical symbols, good Customs and traditions, moving from oral to codification, printing and distribution, so that all this is available to his students from scholars and scholars, and so that we provide generations with the opportunity to compare and interview between the expatriate and the original, if the original has a degree, his precedent confirms that the man of our nation who has already been the most creative can keep up and excel .
Tasks :
For all the above, this faculty has established the Department of heritage and documentation to carry out the following tasks:
He collected the heritage and legacy of previous generations represented in the folk, leather, porcelain, pottery and other industries.
Codification of social lifestyles in our society, including customs and traditions.
Documentation of historical facts and events.
Documentation for creators and tracking the stages of their creativity to strengthen confidence in the souls of beginners of new creators so that they highlight their talents so that the community takes care of them and supports them with the necessary support.
Documentation of the symbols of society and the nation of predecessors and contemporaries.
Organizing viewing sessions for students and young people, participating in seminars and festive events, using technical means in the presentation.
