The Department of information and public relations is one of the important departments in any administrative system or official establishment, because it is linked to all internal and external departments. It is the college's window on the community, a link between it and its internal audience of employees and students, and a tool to achieve strong and distinguished relations between the college administration and the external audience of institutions and various segments of society, The importance of the role of the administration stems from the fact that it aims to create a positive impression, enhance the good mental image and good reputation of the college through the functions and tasks assigned to it , to highlight the civilized image of it, its employees, achievements, and future projects with the various bodies that deal with it and gain their trust and respect, strengthen relations between the Departments of the college and its departments, pay attention to social communication between them, supervise the organization of conferences, seminars, scientific forums and events, and work to achieve the communication policy of the institution, show a bright face, and its affiliated formations through its news coverage, Among its other activities; openness to press institutions and state departments in order to enhance the status of the College in the community, receiving and accompanying its delegations in case they request to stay or accompany them on an inspection tour, creating an appropriate and good impression of it among the public, in addition to publishing its ads and affiliated formations, creating awareness among employees of the University's goals and developing this awareness continuously, the administration works to maintain the protocol of the College in receiving guests and honoring them, and issues congratulatory and condolence banners on occasions and deaths.
The Department of information and public relations has kept pace with the development of the college's career since its inception, and has played important roles in activating the college's relations with the local community, and organizing its cultural relations with universities, scientific, cultural and educational centers and institutions.
The work of the Department of information and Public Relations represents an integrated set of work with a professional system for two-way communication with the information and media, and continuous coordination of work, to achieve its goals through: research, planning, communication, evaluation, and one of its main tasks; contributing to the development of the general strategies of the college and its implementation, preparation and planning for future policies, due to its role and leadership position in the college, it is the main link that connects the college with all institutions and official and private entities internally and externally, and it conveys the image of the college with prestige and reverence to society, inside and outside the Republic.
