The college may have a vice dean with a doctorate and experience in higher education, appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of the dean.
The vice dean assumes the duties of the dean in the event of the dean's absence, inability to perform his duties, or a vacancy in his position.
Responsibilities of the vice dean:
In addition to his other duties listed above, the vice dean shall assist the dean in accomplishing the following tasks:
Work to establish and develop graduate studies at the college, encourage research, and chair the academic committees entrusted with achieving these goals.
Provide oversight of student affairs and work to foster an atmosphere of understanding between their organizations and between them and the college administration and councils, and to strengthen ties between students and their professors.
Work to strengthen the relationship between the college and its alumni.
Coordinate work between the various departments and the administration to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the college. He has the right to participate in department council meetings, obtain the minutes and decisions of those meetings, and submit them to the dean.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Board of Trustees, the Academic Council, or the Dean.
Receive reports on student academic progress and provide necessary educational advice.
Implement college regulations and laws related to behavioral and academic problems.
Draft policies, laws, and instructions related to academic affairs at the college.
Conduct studies to open new programs and specializations at the college in accordance with labor market needs.
